 Kalado scammed

Rising Dancehall artiste, Kalado is reportedly one of the latest victims of a slick scam which has resulted in false advertising, loss of revenue for the deejay, and has proven to be a promotional nightmare. These deeds, his management says, are facilitated by the setting up of fake Facebook pages in Kalado’s name by persons who are not authorized to do so and who have ulterior motives. According to his management company, Montrevail Agencies, persons have been impersonating Kalado on social media, while others have been posing as his booking agent and confirming dates and collecting money from unsuspecting promoters.”The creators of these fake Facebook pages are very slick and quite often the pages appear to be authentic, which makes it even worse for us. They have been misleading persons who are interested in working with Kalado and also his fans.” According to Kalado’s management, requests have been sent to Facebook to have the pages shut down.

 Pamputtae too?

Dancehall deejay Pamputtae is setting the record straight and clearing her name, after an image of a woman in a compromising position has gone viral, with many claiming that it is the artiste. It was revealed that the woman, who bears a striking resemblance to the dancehall artiste, is actually a United States-based adult film star. The artiste revealed that she knows who is responsible for creating the image and claims that it was done out of jealousy in a bid to tarnish her reputation.”Is she create the pic because she want the man, but me have him lock and she mad. Me need dem pictures there fi stop go roun’, they need to stop and go on my Instagram or Facebook page and check before they share it and pass their remarks,” she said. “I plan to sue people, me have a chop pan my hand and the girl nuh have no chop. It’s just the bang (hairstyle) why people seh is me.”

 Bugle

Bugle has released a new single from his 2014 album, ‘Anointed’. The single titled “No Obligation” is produced by Markus Myrie. The accompanying music video has been released and it showcases Bugle at his best with performance clips, interacting with colleagues, fans and friends. Bugle in a release says he is optimistic that ‘No Obligation’ will resonate with music lovers based on its message and delivery. Bugle has been on a musical high over the past year and a half. Having scored multiple hits on the charts with songs including ‘Anointed’, ‘Infidelity’ featuring Dancehall Star Lady Saw, and ‘Nuh Compatible’, Bugle has warmed radio with his message-laced conscious lyrics.

 Bunny Wailer upset

Bunny Wailer has expressed his dissatisfaction at the slow pace of the Government in regards to the decriminalization of marijuana, saying their failure to capitalize on its use has opened the doors for yet another international company to market a product with which the world associates Jamaica. “Jamaica is still moving too slow and has been focused on the low hanging fruit,” he said, pointing out that the cultural and competitive advantage that Jamaica has with marijuana must now be used to not only oppose the deal set up by the Seattle-based company, but should also send a message to other international companies.”Only a Jamaican company incorporating local stakeholders, the Rastafarian community, local ganja farmers, medical scientists and investors should be allowed to market Brand Jamaica Ganja first-hand, every other company outside of Jamaica should follow suit.” Several states in the U.S have already legalized aspects of marijuana use.

In the suit, filed recently in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles, Judy Huth of Riverside, California, alleges that in 1974, when she was 15, she and a friend, who was 16 at the time, met Cosby where a movie was being filmed in Los Angeles. According to the suit, he allegedly invited them to meet him at his tennis club the following Saturday. When they arrived, Cosby allegedly brought them to a house, where he gave them alcohol.
