Residents at St Mary Infirmary treated by Mizpah Funeral Home to annual Christmas Lunch

For the 21st consecutive year in a row Vincent Mason of Mizpah Funeral services has provided a Christmas treat for residents of the Port Maria Infirmary.The treat on Christmas day, took the form of lunch for the nearly 100 residents plus staff at the facility. The staff at the home, led on the day by Tracey-Ann McGlashan welcomed Mr Mason and his small team and prepared the meal for servicing. It consisted of rice and peas, ham, chicken and vegetables served with a drink. Mr Mason assisted in serving offering Merry Christmas thoughts to the residents. He said it was one of the most important things for him to do each year, to share with people who were less fortunate and to be with them on Christmas Day.Ms McGlashan, said the institution was very happy for the support and she said the Matron Sharon Burke would have loved to be there to personally express thanks but was off for the day. She said other support had come over the holiday period from individuals and institutions including Couples Tower Isle, Beaches Boscobel and church groups, including Mango Valley Assembly and Galina Methodist.Accompanying Mr Mason were Michael ‘Chiney Man’ Nicholson, Yvonne Ferguson and Owen Henry.
