Reported missing, American cruise ship passengers located after Facebook posts

Two American cruise ship passengers who were reported missing last week, have been located after police and travel agencies discovered updated postings on their Facebook accounts.They are 42-year-old Shelby Person and 45-year-old Tyrone Rideout, both of Weeping Willow, Maryland in the United States. The Americans arrived on the island last week Monday, January 12, after they docked on a ship at the Falmouth Pier, in Trelawny.The two were reported missing after they left the ship to go on an excusrsion and did not return. A missing person’s alert was issued by the police. The report said the two left to go on an “unknown excursion” on Monday, January 12 after they disembarked the vessel shortly after its arrival in the island about 10 a.m.However, investigations by the Times revealed that the two have been located in Ocho Rios, St Ann after they had been updating their statuses on Facebook. A police source told The Times that contact have been made with the Americans through a travel agency and they are unharmed and well. The Americans are to make contact with the Trelawny police, however up to Monday this week, no contact has been made.
