Forget the rain, forget the middle of the month, forget that St Ann may not be Zip country…all that didn’t matter to the massive that turned out at Pearly beach for Zips Soca fete, on Sunday, March 15.
Patrons from near and far came out to enjoy good music and also to indulge in paint ball throwing, powder throwing and water activities and to catch a glimpse of or rub shoulders with the Zip Jocks. Several top artistes passed through the event which the crowd enjoyed. These included: RDX, Spice, Demarco and Kalado. Few of the patrons were able to meet their favourite ZIP Jock and to get signed autographs from them. The ZIP Jocks and personalities present at the Soca Fete included, ZJ Chrome, Sparks, Nova, Smurf, Ice, Liquid, Johnny Cool, Vybz, Jade and several others. Some of the Zip personalities were on the road in Ochi, St Ann’s Bay and Brown’s town last week promoting for the big event that turned out to be a big success for the IRIE sister station, doing its first big party this side.
