Police seek help in identifying bodies of females found in Trelawny and St James

The police in western Jamaica are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two women whose bodies were found in Trelawny and St James over the weekend.

The police say one woman’s body was found on a dirt track off the Rio Bueno main road in Duncans, Trelawny, on Saturday, October 15, while the other was found on a beach in St James, on Friday, October 14.

The body found in Trelawny is reportedly of brown complexion, slim build, about five feet two inches long and sports a Mohawk hairstyle.

The police say that body also has tattoos of flowers on both breasts and stars between the thumb and index finger of the right hand. It was clad in a blue and red floral romper.

Reports are that about 8:30 am, police on patrol stumbled upon the woman’s body. It had multiple stab wounds and the throat was slashed.

The police say the scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.

In the other incident, investigators are trying to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death of the other female whose body was found at a beach in St James.
The police say that body is of stout build and is about five feet three inches long. It was clad in a red and white blouse and a black skirt.

Reports are that residents found the body and summoned the police. On their arrival, the body was seen on its back afloat in the water.

As investigations continue, the police are asking anyone with information who can assist them in identifying the bodies to contact the Duncans police at 954-2433 and the Montego Bay police at 953-6191, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.body
