Man with link to Lime Hall disappeared-4 again remanded

The man once considered as St Ann’s most wanted and who police had once linked to the mysterious disappearance of five people from St Ann has again been remanded.

The accused man is Roshad Moss, alias ‘Shut’alias of Lime Hall, St Ann. Police say he is connected to two murders and conspiracy to murder in Lime Hall, near the parish capital.

Moss was listed as wanted by the St Ann police for not reporting on condition of bail in Crofts Hill, Clarendon, after he had been charged with crimes in St Ann.

He appeared before the St Ann Parish Court on Thursday, November 17, in connection to a charge of accessory to murder that occurred in 2015 and a murder committed earlier this year.

The bundles in the case are to be served on his attorney in the matter.

Moss was remanded into custody until December 14, when the case is to be mentioned.

ACCESSORY TO MURDER

Roshad Moss first came to prominence when he was charged in connection to the shooting death of 16-year-old Maurice Cox Jnr on May 29, 2015.

Police investigators had said that Moss cleaned the house of blood, where Cox Jnr was killed, in order to conceal evidence.

The main perpetrator behind Cox’s killing, Kevin Rattigan was on the run for over a year, but was caught on Tuesday, September 27.

Police said Rattigan and Moss were members of the ‘After Dark’ gang that has since been dismantled by the St Ann police.

In the meantime, Moss had received bail in regards to that charge.

MURDER WHILST ON BAIL

However, Moss allegedly committed another murder while on bail.

Police say Moss was a key player in two murders in Lime Hall on Tuesday morning, January 5, when a taxi operator, David Hudson and Damion Campbell, alias ‘Iron Man’ were shot and killed in a home invasion.

Reports are that at about 1:30 a.m., David Hudson, 30, taxi operator, was at home when he was pounced upon by gunmen who opened fire killing him. Another person, Campbell, who was at the home was shot in the head and wounded. He died in hospital on Wednesday, January 6.

Moss turned himself over to the police also that Wednesday after they had launched a search for him in connection with the murders.

Moss was later charged only in connection to the murder of Campbell though committed on the same night.

Those murders were believed to have been connected to the disappearance of four family members, who are now presumed dead. The four disappeared on Saturday, November 15, 2015, after the theft of bags of pimento and other items from a farm house in Lime Hall. The house and another building were set on fire after the robberies.

Police believed that the murders of Hudson and Campbell were part of a campaign by criminal elements, to silence and get rid of people who had information that could lead police to the perpetrators of the robbery and arson.
