People in Ocho Rios, St Ann were granted the opportunity to learn about their health and how to go about healthy living, including through exercise, widely accepted as being good for the heart. The National Health Fund’s (NHF’s) free aerobic marathon day was held on Friday, April, 11, 2014 at Ocean village plaza, Ocho Rios,  as a way of getting the information about healthy living to the people in Ocho Rios. At the National Health Fund’s free aerobic marathon day, they started off by demonstrating some fitness exercises and other activities as a way of preparing your body for daily activities, blood circulation and endurance workout. The theme for the day was “let’s get physical”.  Also on the programme were emcee Londeno Hibbert and Charles chocolate dance expression who illustrated some freestyle dance skills. The NHF also gave away some T-shirts for health questions that were asked and answered correctly.  Organizer of the health fund day, Debbie Guiness- Brown said that “people are not interested in their health until they become old in age. So we are going around and trying our best to educate Jamaican about how essential healthy living is.”
