A case file is still being prepared for submission in the case of a taxi operator, who was shot by a security manager at the Grand Bahia Principe Hotel on Tuesday, December 20.

Dead is 39-year-old Leo Henry, alias Lion of Belle Air Meadows in St Ann.

According to head of the St Ann police, Superintendent Gary Francis, a post mortem is to be conducted on Henry’s body.

He said that the file cannot be submitted to the office of the Director of the Public Prosecutions (DPP) without the post-mortem report. He further stated that it will be sometime before a ruling can be made in the case.

Reports are that sometime after midnight on Tuesday, December 20, an altercation developed between a female hotel staff member and Henry, who is her ex-boyfriend.

The taxi operator stabbed the woman on both legs and on her left hand.

A senior security manager at the hotel intervened in the incident and fired his gun and shot Henry, hitting him in his chest.

The bullet exited the man’s body and hit the 18-year-old son of the female employee in his side.

Henry succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
