Remnant Assembly of Yahvah, Seventh-Day, Rio Hoe, Moneague, St Ann is celebrating its sixty-eighth anniversary. The church was first started in January 1949 by the late founder Judith Wisdom.

The church marked the milestone on January 8, 2017 with the baptism of thirty-nine souls. The baptism was a combination of people from all the 10 churches in Jamaica.  This came as a result of the annual Feast of Tabernacle which was held in October under the theme “evacuate and   relocate.”

Parents were told to encourage their children to get saved before it’s too late.  Also the week’s celebration had many rejoicing because 85 percent of those baptized were between the  ages of 10 and 18 years.

Delroy Grant, bishop of Remnant Assembly of Yahvah  Seventh Day explained to the North Coast Times that his assembly  observed  the  Sabbath, that they believe  in the filling of the Holy Spirit, and that they observe feast days and new  month as recorded  in  Leviticus  23.

The church has thirty one members with an active outreach programme where they offer fasting and prayer, visits to the infirmary, blessing of babies among other services.

Bishop Grant stated that despite what is happening in the world, the church is still playing a role in society making a positive impact on people, turning them in the direction of fearing the Almighty.
