Several people remain in hospital following Monday morning’s three vehicle road crash that killed a man in St Mary.

Dead is 33-year-old Patrick Wallace, security guard employed to Guardsman, of Port Maria, St Mary.

The crash took place near the Ian Fleming International Airport, Boscobel.

Wallace was driving a Toyota Fielder which was reportedly overtaking a Honda motorcar being driven by 37-year-old Ivan White, of Days Mountain, also in the parish. Wallace’s car clipped the front of White’s vehicle and was sent hurtling into the path of an oncoming taxi. Wallace died on the scene while White as well as six people from the other vehicle were taken to hospital.

Superintendent of police for St Mary Fabian Farquharson told the North Coast Times that up to Tuesday evening (April 25) all who were taken to hospital were still admitted.

He said the injured included three children.

White is believed to have the most serious injuries. However Supt Farquharson said he expected all the injured to pull through as their injuries were not considered life threatening
