Miss Universe Northeast selected


The Moon Palace Jamaica Grande Miss Universe Jamaica Northeast was held on Saturday, June 17. The much anticipated event was hosted by title sponsors Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, St Ann. Joddian Harper, walked away with the crown and the coveted title.  She takes over from outgoing queen Candice McLeod who encouraged her to “embark on this journey with a positive attitude, become an agent of change wherever your passion lies, at the end, you will feel a sense of accomplishment”.  Of the fourteen ladies, ten were initially selected and that number was then cut to five. The top five finalists are first runner-up- Camelia Gayle; second runner-up- Nekoda Diedrick; third runner-up- Sashell Stevenson; and fourth runner-up- Ciara Evans.
