SO WHERE IS MR CAMPBELL? A month later man who was last in cop’s presence still not found

The Family of a missing Portland man is yet to get closure,
following his disappearance, a little over four weeks ago.
Twenty-seven-year-old taxi operator Jeffery Campbell,
otherwise called Rese, reportedly left home for work on
Wednesday morning, September 26. However, Mr Campbell
never returned home, where he lived with his common-law-wife,
Karen Williams and their two children.
The North Coast Times was the first media house to report this
story (on our facebook page and website) on
When The North Coast Times contacted Ms Williams on
Saturday, November 3, she said there has been no development
in the case and that DNA results to confirm whether one of two
bodies found is that of Campbell, has not yet been made
available.
Campbell’s disappearance has caused many persons to believe
that a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) knows
about what has happened to the taxi operator. It is reported that

his last contact with his family Campbell stated he was with a
police officer who he named.
On the night Campbell went missing, Williams reportedly got
two voice messages from him via Whatsapp. According to
Williams, Campbell told her he was going out with John* “on
sumn serious”and “mi nuh trust mission after dark, so if yuh nuh
see mi come back you know who mi go wid”. She said he also
provided her with an address for the officer. Campbell, however,
did not reveal where he was going and his reason for going. “He
didn’t say where he was, maybe he didn’t know because he
would tell me,” Williams said.
Williams also says she believes Campbell is dead and that a
body which was found in the Rio Cobre in St Catherine, could
have been his, based on its statue.
DNA test are being done to ascertain if that body or another
unidentified body found in St Mary is that of Campbell.
INDECOM continues to probe the case.
Campbell’s vehicle has not been found.
The policeman named by Campbell was taken off frontline duty
as the police investigate the disappearance and events
surrounding it.
